range/viewfinder assemble
fed up struggling with glasses when
focussing a range finder camera? Cut an eyepiece from plastic lens
of cheap glasses that suit your vision. A sharpened tube spun in a drill will
cut discs.
on some cameras the lens can be made a
push fit in the

On others make a small tube
and glue it in place
Removing dents from lens rims In a piece of half inch thick hard wood
cut out a semicircle to the diameter of damaged lens rim. Mount this wood former in a vice and lay the lens, dent down, in the cut out. Getting another person to hold the lens in place is helpful but not essential. Use a piece from a cheap toothbrush handle as a
drift
to tap out the dent. With care and some luck quite a bad dent can be
almost invisibly repaired. Here are some wooden formers I use and the
drift cut from a toothbrush handle!
